New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is proposing a $2.5B streetcar to link Brooklyn and Queens that will operate outside of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) and instead be controlled by the state.
The Empire State Development Corp, Amtrak and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority issued an RFP for the redevelopment of Penn Station and the Farley Post Office Building in Midtown Manhattan. CIS clients can view the project by clicking here.
The solicitation is for the redevelopment of New York Penn Station and the building of Moynihan Train Hall in the James A. Farley Post Office Building and Annex Building. The intention is to ultimately incorporate the Gateway Program designed to add rail capacity to New York City.
